I came up with this Idea while I was looking for an substitute for tomatoes. I wanted to cook a spaghetti sauce but did not have tomatoes at home. Only a small rest of tomato paste. So I used the  paprika I still had. The result was more of a dip then a sauce suitable for spaghetti. I think its harmonizing more with Tortilla chips than spaghetti but who cares?
Here it is:

3    red Paprika
10  gram Paprika powder
10  gram vegetable stock
2    garlic cloves
20  ml olive oil
1     onion
3     tablespoons tomato paste

Start to fry the garlic, the onion and the paprika pieces in a pot. Add the tomato paste and mix it until its all mush. Lower the heat and leave it to simmer for about ten minutes.
